Managers
Overview
A Manager is a staff member (employee) who works on behalf of an ISP admin, reseller, or sub-reseller. Managers log in with their own credentials and perform customer management tasks within the scope of permissions assigned to them. Unlike resellers, managers are not independent business partners — they are internal operators acting under the authority of their parent account.
Manager vs. Reseller / Operator
| Manager | Reseller / Operator | |
|---|---|---|
| Relationship | Employee / staff member | Independent business partner |
| Billing | Does not have their own billing account | Has their own prepaid/postpaid account |
| Access scope | Restricted to parent's customer base | Manages their own customer base |
| Permissions | Granular — set by parent account | Broader panel access |
Who Can Have Managers
Managers can be created at any level of the hierarchy:
- ISP Admins (Group Admins) — create managers who handle the admin's direct customers.
- Resellers (Operators) — create managers who assist with their reseller panel tasks.
- Sub-Resellers (Sub-Operators) — create managers to help manage their customer base.
Creating a Manager
- Navigate to Resellers & Managers > Managers.
- Click "New Manager".
- Fill in the manager's details:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | Full name of the manager |
| Login email address | |
| Password | Login password |
| Phone | Contact number (optional) |
- Assign permissions — select which functions this manager is allowed to perform (see Granular Permissions below).
- Click Save.
The manager can now log in with their email and password at the same login URL as operators.
Granular Permissions
Permissions are assigned individually for each manager. Examples of available permissions include:
| Permission | Description |
|---|---|
| View Customers | Read-only access to the customer list |
| Create Customers | Add new customers to the system |
| Edit Customers | Modify existing customer details |
| Record Payments | Mark bills as paid or record cash payments |
| Generate Bills | Create invoices and monthly bills |
| Manage Complaints | View and respond to customer support tickets |
| View Reports | Access financial and network usage reports |
| Suspend / Reconnect | Change customer connection status |
| Add Balance | Top up prepaid customer or reseller balances |
| View Invoices | Access billing invoices |
| SMS Notifications | Send SMS alerts to customers |
Only the permissions you explicitly enable will be visible and functional in the manager's panel. Ungranted permissions are hidden entirely.
Manager Scope
A manager's access is always scoped to their parent account:
- A manager created under an admin account can only see and manage the admin's direct customers.
- A manager created under a reseller can only see and manage that reseller's customers.
- A manager created under a sub-reseller can only see and manage that sub-reseller's customers.
Managers cannot access customers belonging to other resellers, the admin's own customers (if they are a reseller's manager), or any accounts outside their parent's scope.
Manager Login
Managers log in using the same web portal as operators. Upon login, the system detects the manager role and displays only the functions for which they have permission. The navigation menu is automatically filtered to show permitted sections only.
Manager Activity Logging
All actions performed by a manager are recorded in the Operators Action Log. Logged information includes:
- Manager name and ID.
- Action performed (e.g., payment recorded, customer created).
- Timestamp and IP address.
- Affected record (customer name/ID, invoice number, etc.).
This log provides a full audit trail for accountability and can be reviewed by the parent admin or reseller at any time.
