Subscription

Subscription Portal Guide

The ISPbills self-service portal lets eligible ISP operator accounts review subscription information and pay even when service is suspended. Public visitors can browse Plans and Add-ons; subscribing, purchasing, viewing account data, and opening support requests require an authenticated portal account.

Access requirements

Open /portal after signing in. Protected portal pages require:

  • an authenticated account with a verified email;
  • a role accepted by the portal client check;
  • a complete required profile.

If social sign-in did not provide all required business details, complete Profile first. The profile page uses the name, company, mobile, address, city, country, and billing currency for invoices and customer-facing pages. Email is read-only in the portal; contact support to change it.

The normal operator navigation contains Dashboard, Plans, Add-ons, Invoices, and Help. A reseller partner has a different layout and does not receive the operator plan/add-on links. Administrative finance and subscription controls are restricted to authorized admin roles and are not covered by this customer workflow.

Dashboard

The dashboard summarizes the current plan and subscription status, outstanding invoice balance, referral rewards, recent invoices, and recent notifications. Use the invoice and notification links to open the underlying records. If there are no invoices yet, select a plan to begin.

A suspended operator can still sign in to the portal and settle an invoice, subject to normal account verification and access checks.

Choose or change a plan

Anyone can open /portal/plans and inspect the currently published catalogue and calculator. The displayed currency, rates, subscriber thresholds, setup charges, included features, and enterprise options come from the current portal configuration; rely on the figures shown at the time of checkout rather than old screenshots.

To subscribe:

  1. Sign in and complete the required profile.
  2. Open Plans and review the subscriber count, billing basis, setup charge, and included features.
  3. Open a plan and select its subscribe action.
  4. Review the invoice created by the portal.
  5. Pay the invoice using an available method.

Plan availability and the result of an upgrade or downgrade depend on the current subscription and server-side rules. Do not assume that selecting a plan immediately activates it; confirm the subscription status and resulting invoice on the dashboard.

Buy add-ons and services

Add-ons can contain recurring modules, prepaid or pay-as-you-go SMS credit, one-time items, and setup/onboarding services. Enter a quantity from 1 to 100 where the page provides a quantity field, then select Add to invoice or Request this service.

The charge is added to a portal invoice; selecting the button is not proof of payment or activation. Recurring modules are labelled as monthly charges, while credit packs and services can be one-time charges. Availability and prices are account- and currency-aware. If no add-ons appear, contact support rather than assuming a module is included.

An unpaid invoice may also offer eligible add-ons that can be attached before payment. Review the updated line items and total before continuing.

Review and pay invoices

Open Invoices, then select Open for details or PDF to download a copy. An invoice page shows status, dates, line items, totals, paid amount, and remaining balance. Payment actions are available only when the current invoice state permits them.

To pay:

  1. Open an unpaid invoice and select Pay invoice.
  2. Choose one of the methods shown. Only configured gateways are usable.
  3. For Manual bank transfer, send funds using the displayed bank details, use the invoice number as the reference, enter the transfer reference, and select Record.
  4. For an online gateway, select Pay now and complete the provider's checkout or redirect flow.
  5. Return to the invoice and confirm its payment status. Keep the provider reference and invoice PDF.

Manual bank transfer records can require administrator approval. Recording a reference does not itself prove that funds arrived. If only manual bank transfer appears, no other gateway is currently configured for this portal. Never retry rapidly after an uncertain gateway result; first check the invoice and payment status to avoid duplicate attempts.

Notifications and profile

The bell opens the in-portal notification feed. You can mark one notification or all notifications as read. The in-portal feed is always enabled.

Open Notification preferences to choose email and SMS delivery for invoice, payment, subscription-status, and reward events. SMS cannot be enabled without a mobile number in the profile. Critical security events can still be delivered regardless of these preferences.

Use Profile to update supported business and billing fields. Because those details can appear on invoices and customer-facing pages, verify them before saving. The portal does not provide a delete-account or change-email action on this page; contact support for those requests.

Referrals

Open the referral page from Refer & earn on the dashboard to view the portal's current referral code/link, referral activity, and earned commission. Rewards shown there are account records; do not treat a displayed commission total as a bank withdrawal unless a separate completed payout is recorded.

Help and support tickets

Open Help to search the available documentation or submit a support request. The dedicated ticket page lets you:

  1. enter a subject of up to 160 characters;
  2. choose Low, Normal, or High priority;
  3. describe the issue and reproduction steps;
  4. attach up to 5 files, no more than 10 MB each;
  5. submit the ticket, view replies, refresh its external sync, reply, or close it.

Accepted attachment types are JPG/JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, PDF, TXT, CSV, LOG, DOC/DOCX, XLS/XLSX, and ZIP. Replies are disabled after a ticket is resolved or closed; open a follow-up ticket for new work. If live chat synchronization is offline, the ticket is still recorded and can be answered by email.

Security and privacy

The portal contains billing identity, contact details, invoices, payment references, subscription state, notifications, referral data, and support attachments. Use a private device, verify the portal address before entering credentials or payment information, and sign out on shared devices. Do not upload passwords, private keys, full card details, or unrelated customer data to support tickets.

Online payment is handed to the selected configured gateway. A gateway can redirect away from ISPbills and return afterward; verify the destination and final invoice state. The portal's notification feed cannot be disabled, and required account/profile data is retained as part of the operator's portal records. Use support for corrections that the profile form does not allow.

Current limitations

  • Public visitors can browse plans and add-ons; account operations require sign-in and the appropriate access.
  • Gateway availability, plan catalogue, add-ons, currency, and prices are deployment data and can differ by account or change over time.
  • A purchase or manual transfer submission can create a pending record; it does not guarantee immediate activation.
  • Closed or resolved tickets cannot receive more replies.
  • The profile page cannot change the account email or delete the account.
  • Reseller partners use a different portal layout and do not follow the operator plan-purchase navigation described above.

Troubleshooting

Symptom Resolution
/portal redirects to sign-in or verification Sign in, complete email verification, and retry. Confirm the account has an eligible portal role.
The portal repeatedly opens Profile Complete the required fields, especially company and mobile when marked required, then save.
Plans or Add-ons is visible but purchase fails Sign in with the intended operator account, complete its profile, and confirm the item is active for that account and currency.
Only manual bank transfer is offered Other gateways are not configured or available. Use the displayed bank instructions or contact support.
Payment completed at a gateway but invoice is unpaid Do not immediately pay again. Save the gateway reference, refresh the invoice, allow callback processing, then open a support ticket if status remains unchanged.
Manual transfer stays pending Confirm the transfer reference and invoice number, then ask support/admin to verify and approve the receipt.
SMS notifications cannot be selected Add a mobile number under Profile, save it, and return to Notification preferences.
A support attachment is rejected Use an accepted extension, keep each file at or below 10 MB, and attach no more than 5 files.
A closed ticket has no reply box Open a follow-up ticket; resolved and closed tickets are read-only for customer replies.
