BTRC Report
The BTRC Report is a regulatory compliance report that ISPs operating in Bangladesh must submit to the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC). ISPBills generates this report automatically from your subscriber data, ready for export and submission.
What Is the BTRC Report?
The BTRC is the government body that regulates telecommunications in Bangladesh. Licensed ISPs are required to periodically report their subscriber base and service details to BTRC as part of their licensing obligations.
The ISPBills BTRC Report compiles your subscriber data into the format required for regulatory submission, including connection types, subscriber counts, and geographic distribution.
What Data the Report Contains
| Data Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Total Subscribers | Total number of active internet subscribers. |
| New Subscribers | Subscribers added during the reporting period. |
| Disconnected Subscribers | Subscribers who cancelled or were disconnected during the reporting period. |

When ISPs Need to Submit
BTRC reporting requirements are set by the regulator and may change. As of current guidelines:
| Frequency | Applies To |
|---|---|
| Quarterly | Most licensed ISPs (National, Category A, B, C). |
| Annually | Summary annual report with aggregate subscriber statistics. |
Check the BTRC website or your ISP licence conditions for the current submission schedule and templates.
Data Accuracy
The accuracy of the BTRC report depends on complete and correct customer data in ISPBills:
- Ensure every customer has a full name, NID or passport number, mobile number, and address recorded.
- Assign customers to the correct zone for accurate geographic distribution.
- Keep customer records up to date — inactive subscribers should be deleted or suspended, not left active.
Incomplete customer profiles will result in missing data fields in the BTRC report and may require manual correction before submission.
