Online Customers
Overview
The Online Customers page provides a real-time view of all customers currently connected to your network. The data is pulled live from your RADIUS accounting server, which tracks active sessions for PPPoE and other connection types. This page is invaluable for monitoring network usage and diagnosing connectivity issues.
Navigating to Online Customers
Go to Customers → Online Customers.
The page refreshes automatically or can be manually refreshed to show the current state of all active sessions.
Understanding the Columns
Each row represents a single active customer session. The columns are:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Username | The PPPoE or RADIUS username of the connected customer |
| IP Address | The IP address currently assigned to the customer's connection |
| MAC Address | The hardware MAC address of the customer's CPE (router or modem) |
| Session Start Time | The date and time the current session was established |
| Upload | Total data uploaded by the customer since the session started |
| Download | Total data downloaded by the customer since the session started |
| NAS / Router | The Network Access Server or router the customer is connected through |
Monitoring Active Usage
Use this page to get a snapshot of who is online at any given moment. You can see at a glance:
- How many customers are currently connected.
- Which NAS devices are carrying the most sessions.
- Which customers have high data usage in the current session.
Troubleshooting Connectivity Issues
When a customer reports a connection problem, this page is one of the first places to check:
- Customer appears in the list — Their PPPoE session is established. The issue may be on the customer-side device (e.g. the router's LAN, WiFi, or device configuration), not the WAN connection.
- Customer does not appear in the list — No active session exists. Check their account status (is it expired or suspended?), verify NAS connectivity, and review authentication logs.
- Customer has an unexpected IP address — May indicate a configuration issue with your IP pool or that the customer has reconnected and received a different address.
Filtering and Searching
You can search the list by username or filter by NAS/router to focus on customers connected through a specific device. This is useful when investigating issues affecting a particular segment of your network.
