Auto Network Map

The Auto Network Map builds a live logical diagram from existing ISPBills records. Nothing needs to be drawn manually.

Open Insights → Maps → Auto Network Map.

This is a logical network diagram, not a geographic Google Map. Device coordinates are not required and the diagram cannot be edited directly.

The hierarchy is generated as follows:

  1. An OLT is attached to its router through the OLT NAS/Core Router assignment.
  2. Each ONU is attached through its OLT assignment.
  3. A customer is attached through its ONU assignment.
  4. When no ONU is assigned, the customer’s configured router is used as a logical fallback.

The summary shows router, OLT, ONU, customer, and unlinked-record totals. A high Unlinked records count means equipment or customers still require relationship assignments.

Using the diagram

  • Drag the canvas to pan and use the mouse wheel or + / − controls to zoom.
  • Select Fit to frame the entire hierarchy.
  • Search by device name, IP address, ONU identifier, customer name, or username.
  • Select a node to inspect status, upstream connection, and direct downstream count.
  • Select Refresh after changing device assignments.

Red outlines indicate records that are not reporting a healthy/online status. The generated diagram is read-only; correct its relationships in the Router, OLT, ONU, or Customer configuration pages.

Resolve unlinked records

  1. Check the Unlinked records total.
  2. Search for or inspect the affected record.
  3. For an OLT, open Monitoring → OLT Management and assign its NAS/Core Router.
  4. For an ONU, synchronize the parent OLT and verify its OLT assignment.
  5. For a customer, assign the correct ONU from the customer technical information, or verify the router for a non-fibre customer.
  6. Return to this page and select Refresh.

Outage impact workflow

  1. Find the offline ONU or customer.
  2. Select the node and note its upstream record.
  3. Follow ONU → OLT → Router toward the core.
  4. Compare sibling nodes. Multiple offline siblings usually indicate a shared upstream issue.
  5. Open Network Operations to inspect the same incident geographically.

Troubleshooting

Symptom Resolution
OLT is not connected to a router Set the OLT's NAS/Core Router field.
Customer connects directly to a router No ONU is assigned; assign one if this is an FTTH customer.
Search returns no record Confirm the record belongs to the current group/operator, then refresh.
Diagram is very tall Use search to isolate a branch or zoom out; large ONU/customer inventories naturally create many rows.
